If you look at your intuitive experience, you can verify my true nature. I am the witness of the dream. I am the witness of the wake, and I am the witness of their absence. When I say in a deep sleep, the world is absent. It’s also a bias from the wake in a deep sleep. The world is not absolute. There’s no world, and there’s no axis of the world. Then what is deep sleep? If it’s not a state, and there’s no time, and there’s no space? Deep sleep when looked at from the intuitive point of view. Is reality the consciousness? It is the self. They are synonymous.
Deep sleep is the self. It never changes, even right now in the so-called waking. That same intuitive consciousness is unchanged – timeless. Do just like when the snake appeared. No second thing came. It was only a snake. Whether it appears as a waking or a dream, that’s the complete comprehensive examination of our experience. So, where are we here?
The phenomenon and consciousness are not related to each other.
Each phenomenon has to be regarded as a whole manifestation of yourself. It’s you that are appearing as the whole phenomenon. That’s what a state consciousness is. A phenomenon is how you appear. It’s not how you are because your nature never changes. It appears it’s flaky. It appears this dream. And from that point of view. We say when there’s no waiting and no dream, it remains in its true nature. But its nature hasn’t changed even when the waking and dream appear or disappear. Those appearances have no existence apart from you. You can take the states away, and you’re still there. But you could never take the consciousness away. And have the states of consciousness. The phenomenon depend on their existence in consciousness. Just like the snake depends for its existence on the rope. If you take the rope away, it can never be an appearance of a snake. The very existence of the snake is the root of the existence of the appearance is useful. Would you call? Waking is how you appear. Would you call? The dream is how you will appear. And the so-called absence of these two.
The so-called state of deep sleep is always how you(self) are. This has to be known based on intuitive experience that since the experience, you can see the witness. You can’t imagine it. It has no qualities. It has no location in space or time. It’s beyond all words. And what can words signify? Things and objects and qualities and relations. It has not; it’s not a thing. It’s not a quality. It’s not a rule. The witness of all things qualities relations can’t be thought of. That witnessing consciousness by which we do it directly, the states with no help of the mind and the senses because they are objects to that consciousness. That’s intuition. Now.
To be able to get this intuition. What’s necessary for our mind? Which is normally extroverted and running from thing to thing; that mind has to become scattered from an object to object. It has to turn away from the object towards the subject. Who is the subject of these objects? Who is the actual subject? So, the mind must become self-sufficient, introverted, and pure to answer that.
To be blunt, only some people are ready to intuit this way. That’s called the spiritual Faculty of the Mind. We all have this faculty, but we must learn how to use it. We have an intellectual faculty. But that’s of no use to you. We have these faculties, but that’s of no use here. But the mind has an extraordinary faculty, its capacity to interfere and directly see that I’m not only the witness of my mind and my senses and thoughts but also the witness of the whole state. To be able to intuit that, the mind has to become introverted. So suddenly, that faculty is called the spiritual faculty of the mind. Why? Because it’s that type of mind. In that mind. That mind can tune directly with this truth for itself.
Words can’t describe this, only intuition. The mind can’t conceive of the witnessing consciousness, so it can’t be known.
But skeptics say; this is madness, and the rest of it has to be known by the mind alone. When it says, it has to be made known by the mind alone. What it means is that the mind has become subtle and pure. That mind can intuit the fact that I am the witness of the waking state. And I am not affected by anything that appears in the. I am the witness of the dream. And I’m not affected by anything that appears in it. And I am the witness to their disappearance. We can intuit this truth here and now. Merely by examining. With an introverted mind, whether the facts of the matter. Not how the waking mind looks at the dream and deep sleep. But what’s the experience of the. That’s the basis of this teaching. What is our experience? What the world experience has to be understood to mean? What is our intuition of the three states? We don’t experience them. We intuit them. So this is something to think about.
“It’s almost over.
You’re hanging on by the merest thread.
You can’t let go of this because you don’t actually have it; it has you.
You’re neck deep in the tiger’s jaw.
It’s out of your hands now.
You simply cannot “do” this thing.
You’re not sure what you’re trying to “do,” but you swear you’ve seen glimpses.
You can’t have this, though.
This is beyond having.
This is beyond knowing.
And this is absolutely and totally beyond you.
You won’t live to complete this.
You will never “arrive” in this understanding.
This flower blooms, not just when, but precisely BECAUSE there’s no one left to watch.”
I other words, you do not see the Universe, you are the Universe.
I have studied esoteric philosophies, Mahayana Buddhism, Yoga, Tantra, and Taoism for over fifteen years until I was chipping away at all these ideas and symbolism. Finally, many of these teachings need to be more accurate. For example, there can be no karma or reincarnation, as time and space are constructs. Similarly, there can be no birth or death; thus, there is nothing to grasp in terms of History or family ancestry.
However, I realized that all physical and metaphysical constructs are laws of the waking world. Metaphysics has a basis in the human experience. For example, reincarnation has plenty of well-researched empirical evidence and well-documented cases. So does miraculous healing.
Here is the famous reincarnation story that convinced Gandhi that reincarnation was, in fact, possible.
“Shanti Devi was born in Delhi, India. As a little girl in the 1930s, she began to claim to remember details of a past life. According to these accounts, when Shanti Devi was about four years old, she told her parents that her natural home was in Mathura, where her husband lived, about 145 km from her home in Delhi. Discouraged by her parents, she ran away from home at age six, trying to reach Mathura. Back home, she stated in school that she was married and had died ten days after giving birth to a child. Interviewed by her teacher and headmaster, she used words from the Mathura dialect and divulged the name of her merchant husband, “Kedar Nath.” The headmaster located a merchant by that name in Mathura who had lost his wife, Lugdi Devi, nine years earlier, ten days after giving birth to a son. Kedar Nath traveled to Delhi, pretending to be his brother, but Shanti Devi immediately recognized him and Lugdi Devi’s son. She knew several details of Kedar Nath’s life with his wife, which convinced him that Shanti Devi was indeed the reincarnation of Lugdi Devi.
